Citizens Insurance Corporation recently announced that they will be lowering their liability limit to $100,000 for all new business risks effective May 1, 2012, and for renewals effective June 1, 2012. The reduction in primary liability limits may result in a potential gap between the primary liability limit and the minimum limit required by the Personal Umbrella policy. GM Underwriters can help you in one of two ways: Our Excess Comprehensive Personal Liability product can fill the gap between the Citizens Insurance policy and the Personal Umbrella policy by providing $200,000 excess of $100,000 (or a combination of many other limits up to $5,000,000). Our Primary Comprehensive Personal Liability product can be the standalone primary liability coverage (up to $1,000,000 in limits) for a risk where the property is written with another carrier.
